What are targets in CRM? How does this section help in sales & marketing

Targets are people you don't know so much.
Imagine you bough a list of 10K name/phone mobile/email, so you don't know them and you also don't know if they are interested on your products/services.
You send a email marketing campaign to all of them and, hopefully, some people will read the emai, click the link etc. That means, some people will get interested in your product/service.
At this moment you can convert these people to Leads, once you know they are interested on something.
