When Global Searches Works/Doesn't Work

Can someone please identify the issue with global search errors?

Global search will return expected results when performing search but immediately refreshes browser back to originating page. However, from four tabs the global search works properly and doesn't not refresh to the originating page.

Global Search Errors when performing from following tabs:
Home
Accounts
Contacts
Opportunities
Leads
Calls
Meetings
Tasks
Notes
Cases
Targets
Target Lists

Global Search works properly from these tabs:
Calendar
Documents
Emails
Campaigns

Having exactly the same problem here, too.
