Where are studio layout files held?

Where is the studio data for layouts held?

I am having a problem with the detail view for tasks

I copied detailviewdefs.php from a clean install into my sugar installation

Then if I look at a task the details on the clean install show but if I go into studio I still see the problem one

Can someome point out to me where the studio gets it's layout information from

Copy this clean detailviewdefs.php for custom/working/modules/Tasks/metadata/
The Studio look for the layout at the custom/working directory.

Yep. You will note that when you export your customizations from Studio in Sugar 5.0, it creates a module that you can load into other systems. The manifest.php file defines where your custom layouts are installed when loading the module.

Note that your custom layouts are installed into both custom/modules/ and custom/working/modules/. This means that your custom layout files are then also accessible by Studio.

Copying to both directories is the best practice when loading custom layouts via a module.

What does exactly happen when you go in Studio?
Anyway, since you copied \modules\tasks\metadata\detailviewdefs.php from a fresh install, copy \modules\tasks\metadata\studio.php too.
Take a look also at the files in \modules\ModuleBuilder\Module\

Take a look also at the files in \modules\ModuleBuilder\Module\
