    Why can't we change default fields to 'required' using the studio in 5.0ga?

    The select box is there if you hit edit for a field but it won't let you change anything except the "Display Label"...

    We ran into this, too. Support pointed out that we could edit the vardefs.php file to get the desired results and it worked. (remember to rebuild the database afterwards) Support ALSO pointed out that this is not an upgrade-safe change, but we still felt that it was worth it.

    Sooo, I too would voice my support for allowing us end users the ability to change default values and whether or not a field is required using Studio.
