just my 2 cents,
What is the obsession with making everything look like it was made in Wordpress. The 6.0 beta is quite the ugliest thing I've seen in some time and yes..I am resistant to change...of any type :-)

I was also surprised, but in the other way![]()

agcopley,
Just saying "The 6.0 beta is quite the ugliest thing I've seen in some time" don't help in anything. What about make some constructive criticism? What exactly is ugly?
I didn't like the shortcuts bellow the last viewed bar. Actually it took me some time to figure out it was there ;D
I also didn't like the icon on buttons, like the select button of relate fields. The icons don't make clear what the button does.
mmm ... I like ... lots more screen real estate to play with in the views ... makes a lot of sense ... not sure about the "No data" messages in the subpanels ... it's a kind of "Doh!, really?"

Yes, quite a beta feel to it, but then it is beta, and as it isn't in CE, won't be spending any more time worrying about it!
Which part won't be in CE? ... it's a style ... it's in all the versions ...and as it isn't in CE, won't be spending any more time worrying about it!

Hi SalesAgility, I could have it wrong, or we might be talking about different things, but I think Jennifer mentioned here that the new Sugar theme is not in CE. So not going to worry about "is it better" or "how could it be improved" because many users wont get to use it anyway.
I don't think many development budgets allow for a new theme either, so I don't think we'll see a CE theme on sugarforge that makes use of the new theme architecture introduced in 5.5 either unfortunately!
Hope I'm wrong on either/both of these points.
It should be fairly easy to justify creating your own theme specifc to your company by calculating all the man-hours that can be saved each day by a more efficient theme.

Apologies SugarBeginnerUK, you're absolutely correct.
Will I lose any sleep? No, I have a Mercedes, but there are no go faster stripes on it.
If you had asked me to name the top 20 things that I'd like to see in the next release of Sugar, the UI wouldn't have made it to the list.
