I often wonder why the Sugar developers keep concentrating on developing big new things rather than patching the little things that let the product and its users down.

Many of the things here are really simple and in fact, there are patches out there for some of them but in reality, they should be part of the core product. In this way we don't have to worry about how we are going to upgrade to the next version each time.

One simple example is pipeline with probability. This is an absolute must have item for anyone who uses opportunities and needs to see their pipeline based on what sales they expect to get rather than what the total artificial figure is.

So why is this not a standard part of Sugar yet? It beats me.

There are many other examples I could give you, most well documented in the Forums.

Surely one programmer in the entire development team could be tasked with trawling the forums for good suggestions and then incorporating these in the standard product.

Unfortunately it just goes to prove that there is still a disconnect between the developers / designers of Sugar and the real world day to day needs of its users.

Now I am not saying that Sugar is doing a bad job, far from this but there is an obvious gap that is affecting the quality of their product that could so easily be fixed with minimal additional resources from their team.
