why are Links getting changed in email campaign editor?

I am creating links in the email campaign editor. http://www.example.com/cart/test.php the link is getting replaced with ../cart/test.php

sugar happens to be hosted on the same domain as the website we are pointing the link to, which I am guessing is affecting this, but this is not good at all, I can't even change it in the HTML source which is driving me nuts

Is there a way to get sugar not to do this! When the email is sent to the people, it shows up as ../cart/test.php
and on some computers opens up their my documents folder!

Is the source the same as what was entered into SugarCRM? Check the link in the campaign template editor

The source of the link, and what I have put in the sugar editor both get changed to ../cart/ fromt he full http:/www link...

it goes back one directory because I am in the sugar "/sugar/" directory. but the link where I am putting it is back one directory and in /cart.

any ideas?

I found a bit of a workaround

I removed www. from the link and it worked, it didn't replace it with relative pathing.

but there must be something I can change in either the code, or settings?

I'm having the same problem, and it's getting in the way of an email that needs to go out prior to a trade show. I've changed and changed again the campaign email settings, but it is having no effect on the links in the html editor. Anything that matches the site url is getting stripped out.

Work around tested successfully

I've just verified this Version 5.0.0b (Build 3150) Community Edition

If your site is http://www.mysite.com then use http://mysite.com for all your images and links in the email templates. These are not converted to relative links like ../image.gif
