WiKi module or similar available?

Hi,
I think it could be useful to be able to post some guides for users new to the CRM so they could quickly access them within the system, or at least whithout having to sign on to a different service.

I am aware of the Docs section, but I am looking for something they could read inline and without having to launch a whole word procesor or pdf reader.

Is there any wiki module or something else I could integrate with Sugar 5.2.0 CE?

not that I know of. But maybe you can set up a stand-alone Wiki and make a tab for it in Sugar?

I could make the tab, but I don´t have the knowledge to really integrate and have users logged in the wiki when they log in the CRM.

That's going to take a little work indeed, since MediaWiki isn't very good at integrating with other systems. But it's perfectly possible nevertheless. Maybe it's easier to skip the user integration...

Hi,

Some time ago, I made a prototype of a News module for a customer. We ended up using Joomla instead, but you might find my work helpful as a starting point. Basically, it solves 2 issues:

1. How to use TinyMCE to create HTML articles.
2. How to display HTML articles inside SugarCRM.

This could be enough for some situations and it's a good starting point for thinking through all the issues of putting a CMS inside SugarCRM (e.g. menus, article ordering, publishing workflow, etc.).

It seems very interesting to extend SugarCRM with a CMS and a customer / partner portal. We have prototypes for both of these things and would love to do a project to bring it all together.

Anyway, it's possible the installer does not work as is. I just grabbed the original installer and threw in the latest files. You might just use the files as reference.
