WinXP/Apache/PHP/Sugar4.5.1 Any luck?

Has any one had any luck trying to setup sugar 4.5.1 on a windows machine using apache and msSQL? I did the basic setup and ran the installation page but It said that it did not find the sql server db or the multibyte extension and I didn't have much time to troublshoot so I haven't been able to get much further. Any suggestions??

The mbstrings problem is simple to resolve, just load the PHP mbstring extension. Add (or uncomment) this entry in your php.ini:

extension=php_mbstring.dll

And that's it As for the sql server problem, you may need to configure it to accept standard socket connection (if I remember correctly). Also, you could try out MySQL 5.0 which is quicker and more simple to get set up and running
