Workflow: Alert on contacts with empty account field

I want to setup a workflow that will send an alert when a contact is saved without an account. But I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

Using SugarCRM 6.0 in an on demand instance...

This can be achieved through logic hook.

What kind of a alert, you wish to implement as in like email, sms, or just a javascript alert....do elaborate.
