Hi I looked to see if I could find a answer in another thread but no luck.

What I need to do is when a record is added have an email sent to the person the record decides with a specific subject and body.

I've been able to get emails sent to the creator of the record but not the createe. Also subject line is just the default ALERT.


Any suggestions on how do to this?

You'll need some custom code to accomplish the task. We were discussing a similar idea for another purpose in this thread:

The basic idea would be to fire off your custom code when the record is saved, using the built-in logic hooks, then have the custom code do the e-mail for you.

I think the orig author changed the content of the message, but I could be mixing it with another thread. I thought it had said something about e-mailing the contact that was added.

sorry for the delay getting back.

Angel's understanding of my attempt is correct.

Decide was supposed to be "Describe"

I'll look into writing the custom code thanks
