Question For a workflow, what is the difference between "invite" and "email"???

When i choose the option "email" i receive an email, when i choose the option "invite" i receive an email.
So... What's the difference between these two options??
I thought that the "invite" option was for a meeting, was i wrong??

    Thanks!

Here's my recollection of this functionality... it's been a very long while since I've looked into this specific piece, so I could be mistaken.

The invite option is only applicable for Calls and Meetings. When you add invitees to a call or meeting, there's a "Send Invites" button on the EditView. The Alert Type of Invite in Workflow would give you the ability to automate the Send Invite function for Calls and Meetings that are created by a workflow, since the user wouldn't be clicking the button by hand.

Well.. I understood that, but that's no t the problem. The problem is that with both options (invite and email) i receive an email, but i don't receive any invitation about anything in any place (calls, meeting, etc).. where would the invitation go??

    Thanks for the answer!
