Here is my "simple" situation: Our sugar setup is such that users have access to their data only via "roles".

I have created a case and have assigned a task within the case to another user on our team.

This user created a note with information about how he accomplished the task assigned to him.

When he tried to associate the note with the case (or better yet) with the task he was assigned (I assume because of how the roles are set up) he is not able to. Even typing in the correct data in the "Related to 'Case'" box...

I (with admin priviledges) have tried to play around with roles in order to allow him access to the cases module, but without success.

The user doesn't need to see the entire case detail, (nor should he be able to see the cases tablet) but just to be able to associate the work he does with either the correct task or the case.

What can I do? Am I missing something? Many thanks...
