    Default Write queries extremely slow

    Dear sugar community,

I've recently installed SugarCRM community edition on my system. This runs fine, but when i'm trying to save an item (anything, really) this takes about two minutes to complete. What could cause this problem?

I've tried to enable 'log slow queries' in the admin interface, but this does not work (takes two minutes, but it is not switched on).

    My system is as follows:

    - Fedora Core 9
    - PHP 5.2.6
    - Apache 2.2.9
    - Sugar Version 5.1.0b (Build 4905)
    - MySQL version 5.0.51a

This all on a 2x 800 Mhz system with 1GB ram.

It is not doing anything but serve Sugar, and the load is very low. Read requests are very fast, but i'm unable to find where the problem lies.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

    ====

    What i failed to mention:

The clients used are all on MacOSX (both Safari and Firefox are showing the same problems). When i'm trying to create an account using Internet Explorer (which is running in VMware Fusion on that very same MacOSX machine) the save actions work fine.

    Hi,
I don't use MacOSX but I once read somewhere in the forums about issues with Safari... Since with IE you have no issue at all, this might be the cause...
What do you think the cookie monster eats ?

I've read this as well, but it also occurs on FireFox under OSX... Since i'm using OSX most of the time I'd very much like to be able to use SugarCRM on this machine....

    Thanks for responding anyway!

Any help with this matter is appreciated. Does anyone know if this is a browser tech related problem, or an OS related problem? has anyone seen anything similar to this on a non-macos system?

On a non-macOS system I read of some issues on older versions of Firefox, but I don't know what exactly the issues were.
On firefox it may be of help installing firebug to monitor network calls and make some javascript debug.

Just an update: this issue suddenly dissappeared (without any upgrades on the server side) so this seems to be a client-issue.
