    Default XAMPP to LAMP

I had a customer that didn't have their server ready so I went ahead and developed much of their instance in XAMPP. Once the server was available I migrated it over to the LAMP stack running Fedora Core 10. I have a few problems so I ran the install in another dir so that I could see that the system checks were passing. There weren't so I got them all up to par. Then I changed my config.php to represent the new settings and edited the .htaccess. Now the system is up and working but I am having some odd problems. I will test something on my windows box then make the changes on the production box the same way and they won't work. Any ideas of something that I may have missed that could be causing errors? The logs haven't given me any errors so far.

Your simply approaching this in the wrong way.

Setup a virtual instance of Fedora Core 10 as a copy of your production environement. Make sure eveything is the same, MySQL version, PHP Version etc..

Do you development and testing on the virtual instance then copy across.

Its simply bad practice to use to different environments, you will get lots of trouble (Just as you have found)

Trust me, if I had a choice I would have done it the same way you have suggested but that wasn't an option.

Now back to the question, what could be causing the difference from the SugarCRM side? Could I have missed a setting that isn't in the config.php?

Not knowing the errors and if you set config.php correctly (host_name and site_url along with the db connnections) my best guess is that the php configuration is different between the two.
