ZuckerReport connect to other database

I am new to Zucker Report and need some help on that. Can I use Zucker report to inside sugar to connect to other database and have a report on that?

i.e. I have another database that i need to generate a report from Sugar using Zucker Report.
I am going to use Jasper Report (JRXML). How to configure that particular report to connect to other database from ZuckerReport? From what i understand is that any report inside ZuckerReport will run locally on the Sugar database only, right?

As long as the database is on the same server just put the database in your query. When you reference tables put the database in front of it.

Example SELECT * FROM database.table

Can it conect ona database on another server? act like some BI?

I don't have ireport in front of me but if I remember correctly you can set the connection details in the report itself and just get the parameters passed to your query. Honestly I have not tried it in ZuckerReports but I have on Jasper Server.

In iReport we can create different datasource for the report to connect to.

Does Zucker Report has the similar function?
