I need some help with Campaign workflow. I have completed an Email Campaign and now can identify targets that have clicked through my links. I now want to contact that group via telemarketing. I want to capture additional information during the telemarketing session so I figure I need to convert this group of targets to leads at this time.
I created a new target group, from the “Add to Target List” button located on the campaign status page of the campaign. After creating the new group I select export target group, so I can import this group as leads. The results of the export is just the title data of the name of the target group not the list of records in the target group. So that doesn’t work and I can’t think of a reason you would want to export that anyway.
So plan “B” was to convert the target one by one (kind of silly). When I do that I must re-attach it to the specific campaign so I know where it came from. Extra work, but OK. After that I guess I need to go back to the target list and delete what I converted? Does it hurt anything to leave it there? Or will it cause confusion if I assign the target that was converted to a lead to a new target list.
Is there a better way to convert the records in a target list to leads?
