    Default Drip Email Campaign

    Has anyone implemented a drip email campaign?

    A lead comes in and they are entered onto a list. Once entered onto that list I want them to receive a sequence of N emails spaced X days apart. Since leads will be entered on the list on different dates each entry will be at a different stage of receiving the email sequence. When the sequence is completed, no more emails would be sent to that lead, or the last entry in the sequence would be to move them to a different list which would perhaps have a different email frequency.

    Is there anything like this availalble. How difficult would it be create something like this?

    In my Pro on-demand installation I accomplished this simply by creating a chain of workflows. Alert templates are released at various time intervals, first triggered by a manual change to a status field in a new record, and thereafter by status changes automatically made by workflow actions. The status can be manually changed at any time, which then triggers a different communication/activity workflow path.

    As best I can tell, this approach employs the most comprehensive out-of-the-box resource available in Sugar for marketing automation; however, there is a sacrifice: It seems that the workflow function can post a note to the activity history (e.g., you can log that an email message was sent on a specific date) in a lead contact/record, but you cannot log and display open/click-tracking and other such details possible through the campaign module.

    I have requested that the Sugar team move quickly to develop support for drip campaigns and better reporting for triggered workflow events, both of which are highly productive and cost-effective marketing processes.

    Perhaps there is a better way to achieve these objectives short of custom back-end coding?

    Bill I am trying to use your module and am getting the following errors when I rebuild.

    Warning: include_once(metadata/filesMetaData.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/oxy/crm/modules/TableDictionary.php on line 49

    Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening 'metadata/filesMetaData.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /var/www/oxy/crm/modules/TableDictionary.php on line 49

    When I click on campaigns I get the following:
    Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /var/www/oxy/crm/include/utils/array_utils.php on line 64

    Can you advise?
