    Default How to associatye inbound email response to Lead/Target

    Hi,

    I love the associations for a lead that show I sent an outbound email, that the lead was in campaign x etc.
    But when I get a response from an outbound email campaign, into the inbound email, I would expect that the from address would try to match from addresses in leads/targets/accounts/contacts etc, and create a relevant history record.

    Is this function missing, or am I missing something?

    also, what is the meaning of "In-Process = checking" on an outbound email campaign? And how do I clear/retry/progress this ?

    Hi Josh,

    There is code that does this. However, there is an issue with *how* the emails are linked to the Lead objects in our schema.

    Without going into detail, I will need to change the cardinality of the relationship from one-to-many to many-to-many which is a very serious change. It's not one we can just make, test, and call it good. It has long-reaching implications that will be difficult to test for.

    Our internal sales team has also put this up as a feature request. Unfortunately, I have not been able to deliver it yet.
