Issues when sending an e-mail campaign

Hi people.

Am having problems when sending an e-mail campaign. I'm using CRM Community Edition
Version 5.5.1RC3 (Build 1197). I make the setting as seen here in the forum, some threads ago, but I can not send emails. Not even the queue that is created in the administrator's account.

Can anyone tell me what to do to try some different type of setup to send this campaign.

Do not use 5.5.1RC3 for email campaigns, it does not work as desired.

Hi Harald.

How can I do the upgrade for the 5.5.4 release? I modified some fields in the crm, just using the tools inside the program. When I upgrade the release will these modifications lost?

Nope, modifications you made from within the product will survive an upgrade.

It's a bit confusing but the only one I could find. Do it on a cloned version (copy Sugar directory and db to another name)

Thanks for help. I've updated my sugarcrm just fine. Now I have another doubt. I just can send an -email campaign by the admin account. I can't send the e-mails only clicking on the button "SEND E-MAIL".

I know that I have to active a scheduler, but I can't configurate this. Could You help me AGAIN?

I'll give you the ultra short version:

• Set up a group e-mail account (admin section)
• Open the scheduler, there you'll find (at the bottom of the list) a cron job command. Set this up to run every minute if you use Linux (for Windows you have to look elsewhere, there are enough posts here though)
• Set up one job (like process mass email campaigns) to run every 5 minutes just to check whether the cron job works - you will see a list (or not) when you open the respective job. If everything is fine set it back to the times you want it to run.
• Set up a campaign
• Create and fill at least one real target list and one as test
• Create at least one tracker url (the one to unsubscribe - use the check box)
• Create one marketing message where you define when the sending should start, which target lists and which email template should be used.
• Press send test emails and see what happens.

Hi Robert.

It can be a little stupid, but, How can I set up this cron job command.

The command line that appears to me is: cd C:\Program Files (x86)\sugarcrm-5.5.1RC3\htdocs\sugarcrm\
php.exe -f cron.php.

There's a line above that telling me to create a batch file with this command. But I don't know where create this.
