My Concerns - Answer please!

Hi all,

First of all I give you guys 10/10 for such a wonderful resource for Client relationship management.

I'm using SugarCRM (bit new to it) Invested my couple of days to understand the SugarCRM.

I'm facing problem with Campaign management:

1. I'm able to send test email to targets but not able to send scheduled email? it remains in the PIPE and no action takes place

2. I was going through the posts and I see I can send emails to targets using Mass Email manager.. Can anyone please tell me
where can I find MASS EMAIL MANAGER?

Would I be able to track read/open/link tracking if I send emails using Mass Email manager

3. I'm presently using browserCRM I want to import the data I have to SugarCRM as I can see SUGARCRM is the better application that that BrowserCRM.

1/ Make sure your Mailbox is set properly (bounce handling), make sure your scheduler is set properly...there is a great step by step guide somehere in this Topic, it helped a great deal to get started, you should find it and follow it.

2/ Never heard of that, maybe older version of Sugar had that, now everything you need is under Campaigns

3/ Export them as csv and import into SugarCRM

Mass email manager is in the latest version of SugarCRM but i'm not able to find it.

How to set the scheduler properly?

Here is what I have found on forum regarding Mass Emaill manager. Please check the bold words and tell me where I can find Mass Email manager?

6. You are now ready to test/send your campaign. for these action you will be using the "Send Test" and "Send Emails' buttons from the Campaign detail view.

Send Test: Use this option to test you message, you will need at least one target list of type test. When selected with take you to a scheduling screen where you will see all the Email marketing messages and the associated target lists. you can choose the message that you like to send. Messages will be sent only to test lists even if you have other type of lists associated with the email marketing message.

Messages will be sent immediately upon selection of the send button from the scheduling screen. you can see the status of the messages and campaign response by switching to the status view. "Delete Test Entries" button from this page can be used to delete campaign log entries associated with test lists.. you can perform this step at any time.

Send Email: This function works like send test except for 2 difference. first, it deals with default list and applies the exemption lists, second, messages are not sent immediately instead they are queued for sending. The "Run Nightly Mass Email Campaigns" job described in step 2 takes the queue as its input and sends messages. if the schedulers are not configured you can use "Mass Email Manager" option from Admin panel to send messages manually.

You can send mass emails quite easily using the Campaign Management area of the product. For example, every month I send a Sugar Developer newsletter to every registered developer on SugarForge (which is in the thousands).

To learn more about this area of the product, you can visit the Online Training library and click on the Marketing tab. You'll find several "How Do I" guides on various email topics. You can also listen to a short podcast called "Campaign Tips" that was published just a few weeks ago.
