Problem uploading contacts

Hello,

So I'm trying to upload Comma Delimited (or Tab Delimited if that's easier, don't know) into my contact manager. I go to Contacts --> Import --> I then save my Excel format file as .csv and when I put the file I want to upload and click Next I get the following error:

"ERROR: cannot write to directory: cache/upload/ for uploads"

I tried 2 different size lists I need uploaded. One was 5,000 contacts, the other is about 50.

Anyone know why I could be getting this error?

Hi Dan

It seems the cache/upload folder is not writeable.
Check the permissions.

I just signed into the administrator's account (I have admin status as well) and tried to upload as well, so there must not be anything wrong with my user permissions...

No, Sugar does not control what you as user are doing outside the system. What Andre means is that the user the Sugar installation runs under does have insufficient rights to write to the cache/upload folder. Please check the dcumentation for the proper settings. Normally the owner of the Sugar directory should be your webserver user. Change with chmod and chown.
If you run Windows just make sure that the above mentioned directory is writable.
