Real Estate ??

I am trying to evaluate whether SugarCRM can help me run my real estate business ? I am of course a one man band, and I am looking to incorporate as much online technology into my business as possible.

Buyers using forms to register online, sellers doing the same to book appointments and anything else I can think of.

Any one out there currently use SugarCRM to do this, and is willing to share their knowledge ?

It would be very helpful.

I am halfway around the world, but I am in exactly the same boat as ixplorer. I have been testing out SugarCRM and so far I like the design and feature set that I have seen. I can see how to map out a lot of the internal management of my business through the use of Sugar, but it looks like I would have to do a fair amount of customization in order to list properties, etc.

Specifically: at this point I am using Sugar Open Source. If / when I can see that Sugar will suit my needs then I will likely upgrade for better support.

I have PHP programming skills so I'm not a total clicktard, but I also don't want to go out and re-invent the wheel. I have a small budget set aside for software and I am willing to pay for a pre-fab real estate extension / component. I am even willing to provide you with feedback / source patches for any updates that I might make (assuming that your license allows me to do my own customization). In short: I am flexible and I really want to hit the ground running rather than spend months with dev work. Even if your package doesn't do EXACTLY what I want... I will consider it if it is feature-rich and provides a nice starting point.

Please, no private emails. If your product is great then you should have no problem telling everyone else about it. What features does your package provide? I have some ideas about what I want (and I am willing to share my ideas), but I would like to have an open mind and check out what is already available. So give me your elevator pitches... because I am willing to listen.

P.S. I already have a host, but I might be open to a hosted solution IF your package is the best. Also I would prefer it if I could get source code so I can customize my site, but I am open to a closed-source solution IF your package is the best.

I looked at your website and I saw nothing that addresses my quest for a Real Estate plugin for Sugar. Frankly, I am looking for someone who already has created a Sugar plugin for Real Estate rather than waiting for you to develop the solution. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect to get a feel for what you can offer me.

I am a commercial real estate broker and I use sugarcrm. Aaron Sanders at www.nvalsolutions.com set me up and did a fantastic job. I would definitely check them out because I am extremeley happy with it.

Did they have to heavily customize SugarCRM for you or did they train you on the existing system? I am trying to figure out how to apply this to our brokerage, but it seems a little too "product oriented" for what I need...

They customized it and it works perfectly for my business. I have a catalogue of all the buildings in my area, the owners, of those buildings. and even investor preferences. It works out really well for me. I would definitely call Aaron and Nval Solutions. He was extremely helpful and I am very happy with it.
