Default SugarCRM / PHPList => Interface

    Hi there,

Our company use SugarCRM to deal with +1M contacts and we love it. However we think it's not the best solution to manage our email campaigns so that's why we use it combined to PHPList.

We have developed our OWN INTERFACE.

    Features :
    - Create lists in PHPList from tag words placed in the "Description" field in SugarCRM
    - Plan calls in SugarCRM (in Activities) for emails with links clicked more than X times
    - Add notes with the messages sent to each contact / lead in SugarCRM
    - Update of opt-outs in SugarCRM
    - Update of invalid emails (bounced more than X times) in SugarCRM
    - Highlights duplicate email addresses in SugarCRM
    - Mass update : add a note to all contacts with a specific tag

This software is not very user friendly yet as it has been developed gradually by our team for their sole usage. However we are thinking of releasing a commercial version of this tool if there is demand.

Please let us know your feedback. And additional features you would like. Would you be interested ?

    Regards
    Angelo

    Hi,
I might be interested however I have a couple of question.

    What is the pricing?
Is there a trial version or a demo site to do a test drive?

    Thank you

This thread is a year and a half old, but I'm also interested in this PHPList interface with Sugar CRM. Is the original author still developing this, or offering it?

I realize this an old post. However, I feel I must share my research with the community, recently I evaluated PHPList extensively and while I really liked it there are some significant reasons why you may not want to use it.

If you take a deep dive into the php code of phplist you will find many instances of the system sending emails, results, reports, bounces etc..etc.. to the developers gmail account. This was too much for me, my lists, my clients emails potentially getting listed back to the developers? Not to mention it's impossible to remove all their logos and back links to their website.

While I support the "open source" aspect of phplist, I feel that the developers are doing a miss service to their product.

Very interesting - do you have some specific file names or locations where you found the instances of the system sending emails to the developers gmail account?
