Question What to change in campaign management

I find managing campaign lists, contacts and prospects in new version inadequate to my business needs.

I.e. jf I would like to send 5000 emails to my customers I need to create report that shows all my customers, than I must create campaign, create prospect list, select contacts from previosly prepared reports and:

    - first bug - prospect list will show me i.e. 5000 contacts ?

    - the information that a marketing campaign activity took place is not shown (exept email was sent but there's no information about conferences, events, telemarketing jobs);

I'm meby complaining but this functionality is interesting to companies who want to conduct small campaigns.

In my opinion this version doesn't give a clear way to create a group of contacts, prospects (accounts) that I could define by any options and then add it to campaigns but the results of campaigns should be also viewable in contact, account tab. This way I see that i.e. this contact was involved in couple campaigns.

What's yours opinion in that subject?

I have the same issue with campaigns.

I want to create a campaign against a report from our accounts module, but the prospects list will only take reports that are from the contacts module. There is no linkage between account emails (field for company email) and the prospects list.

Question Re: What to change in campaign management

    Hi all,

I've played with the 4.0 beta version, and whilst I think it's a vast improvement on what 3.5 currently offers with campaigns, I still think it falls very short for non-email campaigns - e.g. telemarketing.

Does anybody know of any future (future) campaign developments for telemarketing - such as customisable call scripts, action workflow diagrams, and allowing each prospect to have an outcome recorded based on the call (e.g. followup, do not call again, etc)? Either as an add on or as part of the core product.

I've seen these in other CRM products (but alas these products fall short of Sugar in other aspects) and from my experience these are a very large part of many business CRM practices.

    Cheers,
    steve

    Steve,

Point taken. We will add this to the requirements list.

    Thanks

Ouch, that's non-trivial - you're talking about full process flow mapping. I'd also be very, very wary about using this in a production environment without very rigorous performance/volume/load testing - this is going to be very hard work for the database with any size of call centre operation. Think: 100 agents hitting the system 5 or more times a minute, all day, every day.

You'd also need predictive dialer integration to make it really worthwhile.

I'm having difficulty figuring out how to get the campaigns my leads are involved in displayed in the sub-panel "campaigns" in the leads' windows. I see that other people have had this problem. Has anyone ever given a solution. If so, what is it, or can someone please redirect me to the answer?

    Thanks
