Default Can SugarCRM be used as an outbound support portal

    Hi,

I've played around with Cases, but I was wondering if Sugar can be used by my customers, to add new tickets? Basically, we need to deploy a customer support mechanism, and before I do something else, I want to make sure that Sugar can't do it.

What it would have to do:

    * Have a web portal that we can define that only customers or new customers could see
    * Allow for customers to enter questions and support tickets.
    * Allow us to answer and support those customers and have an email sent with the latest response.

Looking forward to your reply ---

    Ziv.

With the 4.5 release, Sugar now offers SugarPortal with its Pro and Enterprise versions (i.e. not with the OS version). I believe even the Pro and Enterprise clients have to pay an additional fee to get the Portal. It currently only supports Cases, but it is intended to have expanded functionality at some time in the future. You could also check out this customer portal - http://longreach.net/iahportal/ (demo/demo to login).

Great, thanks a lot. I'll look into the Pro or Ent versions (You're right, I am using the open source version, and loving it)
