How-to send automatically email to a just-created account?

Hi!
I’d like to send (automatically) an email (a welcome email) to each account at the same time it’s created in order to give them some information I’d like to know about my business.
Can anyone give a clue about how to achieve this goal?

If you are using PRO or ENT you can do that configuring a work flow, but if you are using CE you can write some logic_hook before_save, but you need to make sure the email address will be filled in.
Let us know if you need additional informations regarding that.

Hi andopes, i too need to send an email to the just created Lead, and the mail has to be sent to the specified address in the form. I succeeded in writing a logic hook, that sent an email to some static address, but i want to send an email to the address mentioned in the Lead form.
Suppose, i specified an address called a@xyz.com in the Email address field of the Create Lead form.
Then as soon as i click on Save button, a mail must be sent to: a@xyz.com

How can i capture this email address in my logic hook, and send mail to it ?
Please help...
