Price of Sugar suite 3.0 (Confusing)

I want to know the exact pricing of the software sugar suite 3.0.
Though it is said that it is open source & it is also stated that it costs $39.95 per user, per month.

So I am totally confused what is the pricing strategy.

My requirement is email marketing

$39.95/mo is for the Sugar "On-Demand", which is essentially the Professional version (more features than Open Source) bundled with shared hosting. It's designed for people who don't have their own dedicated server or shared server.

If you want to do e-mail marketing and use HTML e-mails, that ain't possible at the moment - unfortunately.
