Question want to know about Sugar Performance

    Hiiiii..

I have been trying to find info regt benchmark document of sugarCRM performance.but no use.....
i want to know how many user can access simultaneously,

how many record or how large the database can be handled,....how many records can be uploaded through CSV file format?

Does anyone here have any information about it? or maybe can give an information where I can find it.

Similarly i want to know the requirements for sugar crm to integrate with the Asterix PBX server ...just for the sake of testing ...does we need any additional hardware? for testing purpose????

please update me as early as possible ....

    Thanks.

    Dear Srini,

You need to typically size your server based on a % of assumed simultaneous users.

For example if you assume 50% of all your 250 users may be using the system simultaneously you shoud design the system for 125 simultaneous users.

The Database volume handling depends on the MySQL Server or SQL Server handling capacity.
Now if you want to know how many records you can import through CSV file, you need to have some assumptions.
We have seen on a normal PC or Laptop 3000 to 10000 records can be easily imported / exported. But the biggest challenge lies in the memory of your desktop.
If you want to load a 10000 record CSV file, your PC / Laptop CPU and Memory shoud support. So the browser needs to consume as much memory and CPU processing power as possible.
If all is fine, you will encounter the problem with socket closure. To transfer this big file to your Server, it takes a few seconds. The browser socket can be closed during this time.

So all in all, SugarCRM supports large data volumes but you also need to have your desktop / connection to server too in good shape.

As far as Asterix is concerned there are couple of well integrated systems. If you want to develop one for yourself, you need to have few developers who know Asterix as well as SugarCRM.
