Question What is the most common PBX integration with Sugar?

I am very interested in understanding the most common brands which been successful with integration of PBX/ACD and Sugar. This could be for SMB's or enterprise users. Is there any middleware developed for this integration and who does this?

Is it any of the following vendors?

    Panasonic
    Avaya
    Nortel
    NEC
    or VOIP vendor

    Hi Guys,

My name is Dom Falco and I work for an IP PBX company called Fonality in Los Angeles (www.fonality.com). We've been successful integrating our product, PBXtra, with SugarCRM. The tight integration between your CRM system and phone system will dramatically impact your bottom line as you have unparalleled visibility between your CRM activity and telephony activity.

Generally, PBX affiliation is implemented as a telephony server or API, ... By far the a lot of accepted adjustment of integration, in the broadest sense, ..... Best accepted for WorldVU, a accessible BBS arrangement for Linux, David Sugar is currently

So if you already have a phone system in your office thats not ip how do you get your incoming and outgoing calls in sugar and have them ring to your hardware phone? I am thinking this has to be routed to an astrix server in the closet with a digi card...?

YEs - all your incoming and outgoing calls would go thru your Asterisk server - and your Asterisk server talks thru adapter box to your analog "hardware" phones.

Say you have your office with 8 analog non-ip "hardware" phones - the phones with the classic RJ-11 modular phone plug.

All 8 of your existing phones will plug into a box - the Cisco SPA8000 "8-port IP Telephony Gateway" adapter box - which then plugs over a standard Ethernet cable into the Asterisk server. THis adapter box allows all 8 of your office's existing analog phones to communicate using SIP (a Voice over IP protocol) to Asterisk to make and receive calls, access your voicemail saved in your individual voicemail boxes in Asterisk, etc.

Here is the product page of one of these 8-port IP Telephone Gateways, made by Cisco/Linksys :
Cisco SPA8000 8-Port IP Telephony Gateway. [Cisco Small Business Voice Gateways and ATAs] - Cisco Systems

Current price is $206 with free shipping in the USA, new, from online stores. Just google to find it.

There are other brands of converter boxes available , but this is a popular one with offices, a great brand, and highly rated - 4 out of 5 stars - so I recommend it.

Here's a video demonstration - connecting 96 analog phones to one asterisk server, plus some digital video phones, in less than 10 minutes - typical example of what you have in a medium size company.
