Default Offer to take over administration of SugarCRM/Mambo integration

The Mambo/SugarCRM integration project has been lagging behind the SugarCRM versions for quite a while now, and is something that many SugarCRM/Mambo operators have shown an interest in having.

There are a few people who have been working on the integration, but have not been able to make their work available via the SugarForge project due to lack of administration rights. They would like to take over the administration of the project, and one of the people involved has code which works with the latest version of SugarCRM and Mambo/Joomla.

Help would be appreciated in allowing these people to take over the running of the project to benefit all.

Please see the thread at http://www.sugarforge.org/forum/message.php?msg_id=1892 for more information.

Yes Al - I quite agree - this is a very dusty corner that needs a refresh - and Sugar does not seem to be interested in doing it - so it seems a very appropriate space for the community to manage.

I agree as well. Fortunately I'm using a relatively un-modified version of Sugar OS (4.2.0) and my Mambo/Sugar integration still works flawlessly but I'm very nervous about 4.2.1 and 4.5 once the time comes to upgrade.

Is there any updated info on sugar 4.2.1 integration with Mambo?
I, and many others, are interested in this.

    With thanks

    Check this out - http://longreach.net/iahportal/ - demo/demo

We have adapted Joomla to work with our Info At Hand superset of SugarCRM as a Customer Portal.

Nice customer forum, FAQs, Info Request (produces Lead in CRM), Cases, Bugs, and My Contact Info update.

Also project collaboration showing Notes, Project Tasks, Documents and Contacts - with customer ability to add Notes and Documents.

Framework makes it easy to add new features later on, such as client approval of quotes, client inspection of account details - invoices and payments.

We're giving it out free with Info At Hand. However, to do it, we had to make a wide set of enhancements to the Sugar SOAP API - so it will not work with the standard SugarCRM.

Mea culpa - you're quite right Rick - I am shallow, and must repent

P.S. Added link to User Guide to post above.

P.P.S. Kudos to Joomla 1.0.11 release we are based on - and looking forward to 1.5. And Simple Machines Forum software - http://www.simplemachines.org/ was also very nice to work with, and produced a great result.

I strongly support this offer. I am a proud user of Mambo, and I want to use it to help implement Sugar in my organization. I looked at the downloads page for the project, and I found not much useful, although I was more tan willing to experiment (with my combo testing/production instance of Sugar). I would think that the components will install on a slightly older version of Mambo, which I have one before, but I don't know tha it would work with Sugar 4.5. I'm keeping my fingers croseed.
