Default Sugar 4.5.1 and joomla 1.0.12

    Hi,

I have read a lot about getting joomla to work with sugar. I have found a lot of components, but I do not get anything to work.

Is there anyone out there that can give a simple explanation on how this is done?

What to install, how to configure. And please explained in a way that its possible to understand. Do not assume a lot...

Thank you a lot in advance.

I use Community builder by the way. And I really do not need the lead reg for sugar.

I'm a Joomla and Sugar OS user, have been able to integrate the two for specific functions pretty easily, wouldn't mind answering questions or sharing links or info if needed!

    Laban,

I am also a Joomla user but a newbie to Sugar. I have no coding knowledge but I would be greatly interested in the possibility of integrating some pieces of Joomla with Sugar,

What did you manage to bridge?

    Hi,
Can some one tell me, if there is a sugar portal for joomla version 1.0.12 ?

    i found one for joomla 1.0.13 ( http://www.sugarforge.org/frs/?group_id=474 )
also, when i tried to install, i get this error
"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class soapclient in ..\joomla13\components\com_sugarcases\nusoap\nusoa p.php on line 7240"
    why is this ?

it would be very helpful, if someone cud help me out.
    thanks,
    best regards

That project should work for 1.0.12. That error can be resolved one of two ways:
    1) comment out extension=php_soap.dll in your php.ini and restart apache
    2) rename all occurrences of soapclient in the component

There are a few posts in the project's forums on how they resolved that issue. The Joomla 1.5/Sugar 5.0 integration will use the built in soap library instead of nusoap.

    Hi,
Thanks a lot.. now am able to install the components ( sugarbugs, sugarcases, sugarleads )
after changing commenting "extension=php_soap.dll" in php.ini

am facing another problem, while configuring each of these compoonents..

Fatal error: Call to a member function portal_get_module_fields() on a non-object
    in \\components\com_sugarbugs\sugarinc\sugarCommunica tion.php on line 429

Fatal error: Call to a member function portal_get_module_fields() on a non-object
    in \\components\com_sugarcases\sugarinc\sugarCommunic ation.php on line 431

Fatal error: Call to a member function portal_get_module_fields() on a non-object
    in \\components\com_sugarleads\sugarinc\sugarCommunic ation.\php on line 431

do you have some idea about why i get this ?

    Thanks,
    best regards

Could be a number of reasons that have been covered elsewhere.
    1. Make sure that you have a portal only user in Sugar and that the portal user/pass is correct in the Joomla component.
    2. Make sure the portal is enabled in Sugar under system settings.
    3. Make sure that the soap url in Joomla has the same domain as the site_url set in the Sugar config.php file.

You should also be able to enter the soap url in a browser and have a page come back. These are the major points that prevent the SOAP API from working.

    Good luck!
