Idea Management & Product Development

Does anyone have experience using Sugar (Open Source) as a central idea management tool?

We'd like a solution where ideas could be "opportunities" and progress through a research then product development process. Ideally, we'd be able to:

1. Capture ideas for a new tool/solution or product from a variety of sources (if we have to, we can input the idea ourselves). Possibly log as an opportunity (though not a sales opportunity)?
2. Use an Outlook plug-in to mark e-mail messages as belonging to an new tool/solution idea
3. Identify possible approaches for building
4. Identify/suggest available tools for research
5. Compare features of various solutions
6. Record discovery and other notes
7. Ability to sign off on approach/requirements, etc.
8. Ability to promote an idea/opportunity out of discovery into a product development project
9. List stakeholders and others involved
10. Allow end-users to subscribe to updates on researched idea or product development project

I do not have any experience like that, but it sounds like Module Builder would be a great start.

I would love to talk to you more about that project though. It sounds like something I would want to use for us.

A product can be developed only when the correct implementation of ideas occurs.Without an effective and feasible idea it is too difficult to produce a desired product.This is my personal view that any fruitful idea can be converted to a successful product.
