Project Task Problems with 5.2.0

I have just Install SugarCE-5.2.0 on:
MySQL Server 5.1
PHP 5.2.8
Apache 2.2

When i create a project task in the main project, there are many invisible field: Task ID, Duration, Start date, Finish date, Percent Complete (%), Resource, LBL_TEAM (???). Then, clik save button Sugar have notice: "Query Failed:INSERT into project_task set id='d2f1dcbb-63ec-d79c-461d-495052a77bbc', date_entered='2008-12-23 02:54:31', date_modified='2008-12-23 02:54:31', project_id='a073a830-f698-6a27-7e22-495051f83203', name='nghhdt', status='Not Started', description=null, actual_duration=null, percent_complete=null, assigned_user_id='1', modified_user_id='1', priority='High', created_by='1', milestone_flag='0', order_number=1, task_number=null, estimated_effort=null, deleted='0', utilization=100::MySQL error 1364: Field 'project_task_id' doesn't have a default value"

What is this problem?
Are there any patch to fix it?

I am also getting LBL_TEAM showing up in project tasks in 5.2 Also most fields can not be edited. This module is foobar.

they again mixed up CE and Pro. That's why you must not touch a GA release (just another word for early beta).

Try to set up new detail/edit views or change the existing ones so that the non existing fields do not show up. Or wait for the next patch.

Thank you roblaus. They really push that version on you when you go to download... What release should I be using? I can re-install.

Also, removing the non-existing fields does not help me edit the fields that do exist but seem to be uneditable...

Maybe this will all go away with the re-install. Can I save my info, or do I have to start all over?

Most probably it won't go away- Try 5.1c, there it seems to be ok if you really need this functionality. You may also wait and scan the forum for other solutions, there are others with the same problem.
If you switch back: export your data and reimport them, this is pretty straightforward. You may also use mysql routines directly but you should then know what are you doing.

Thank you. I installed 5.1c and the problem dissapeared.

However, although exporting the data may seem straightforward to you it is daunting to me (this is my first SugarCRM install). I added a lot of custom fields, layouts, notes, relations, etc that I am not interested in re-doing and am not sure how to export so that they will be compatible with an old version. So I will stick with 5.2 and hope someone from SugarCRM comes to my rescue with a patch (if this is a bug) or some more information. (esp. since I will have to upgrade eventually anyway)

ok, thought you just wanted to rescue your data. If you did some customizations the situation is different. There would be a (50:50) way but your decision is a wise one.

I've installed 5.2.0a today and this problem has been solved for me.

cherter, I applied the 5.2.0a patch today and it didn't do anything for this problem. Do I need to do a clean install?

The patch also did not work for me. Fields are still missing.
