Project Tasks - Predecessors

Can anyone give me a summary of how predecessors work in SugarCRM? It appears that the dates are not controlled by predecessor definitions. I created predecessors in my local instance and on the online demo and they do not move the project task dates. So what do predecessors do then?

I opened a case on this and Nithya kindly helped us identify this to be a bug specific to Microsoft IE. The predecessor functionality works wonderfully in Firefox and Safari.

I hope no-one else was turned off by this apparent lack of functionality which was actually an IE issue.

Another example of why code standards and common platforms have a great value.

Anyways great news for me, we will forge ahead in developing the Projects module for our implementation.
