Question Quantities in the product catalog are not decreasing!

    Hello,

We have problems with the "in stock" (and the "out stock") quantities in the product catalog. If a give one of our products a number of quantity here, and if I make a quote with this same product and save it, then there will be no change in the product catalogs quantity , the numbers won't decrease. I'm not really sure this was meant to work this way, but it would be a real help, to follow up the changes in our stocks.
Does somebody have a possible solution for this problem?

    Regards,

    Andras

I don't believe these have been completely developed to decrease. The quantity is for show only right now. (IMHO)

But it would be a nice feature! And I suppose it's not very difficult to implement...

Surely it should only decrease on the creation of an invoice? And even then, you would want it credited back if the invoice were cancelled.

With time flowing, it is not a problem any longer. Just change your phone into a megaphone.

I had a similar problem with another software and quantities not problem decreasing is actually more programming work than you might think. Don't copy what I did and try to do it all yourself.

To have this feature (solve this problem) one possible solution is programming a logic hook on quotes module.
Is need to check the data on the products table, this table shows all the products used per quotes, and then you can count how many products were selled, for then decrease the quantity in your stock, that is informed at table product_templates in the column qty_in_stock
