Anyone managed to install the UK Language pack?

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong forum, I don't seem to be able to find an answer in Help

I am running 4.2.0d on linux (Centos)
PHP 5.0.4
Apache 2.0.52
MySQL 4.1.12

When trying to install the UK English language pack I get a "Not a Valid Entry Point" error
Checking the various threads and doing a global search across the language pack the entry point checks seem to have been updated correctly but I still can't install it.

Has anyone else had this issue and managed to install the UK English pack? if so, how?

I have struggled with trying to get the Uk Language pack installed through the normal way i.e. admin menus until I decided to do it manually. There are various posts within this group on how to do that but let me know if you cant find them and I'll point you to the right link. Hope this helps.
