dropdown lists after installing spanish language pack for 5.1.0 CE

Hi, everybody.

I've just installed the new spanish language pack for the 5.1.0 CE.
It solved some problems I had before...

BUT...

after installing the package, most of dropdown lists became a mess!
They merged the built-in values with the customs ones that I had created, and it ignores the ones I deleted.
Let me explain:

I have a custom module xxx (type bugs)
I had edited the xxx_type_dom dropdown list, in order to add new values, edit old ones, and deleted other ones.
It had been working perfectly well until this morning, when I installed spanish language pack for 5.1.0 CE

Now, I see the xxx_type_dom dropdown list with: the built-in values (without changes) + the deleted ones + the new ones.

Whenever I edit this list using Studio, I see the C:\xampp\htdocs\sugarcrm\custom\include\language\e s_es.lang.php file has repeated the lines which define this list... This list appears a dozen of times in the file (at the end of it)!
And the en_us_lang.php has no definition of dropdown lists at all.

And this happens with most of dropdown lists.

What shall I do to recover them?

In case I would have done something wrong, I restored from the backup (before installing spanish package), and then I installed the spanish package again... and now everything is as before: no problems with dropdown lists... but the labels still remain wrong...
I'm more confused than ever...

Please somebody who knows how to solve this.
I think i could be fix editing the code, but i just don't know where is the dropdown code so i can modify it.
Are the dropdowns stored on a database table????
where i can find the in the code?? which php file must i look for?

Hello Verónica,

try to use the repair features in the Admin screen after installing the Spanish language pack.

After that, your installation should be in the state where the subpanel label issue is gone again... and unfortunately the dropdown lists issue is back.

Once you are in that state again, could you try to install another non-English language pack and reproduce this issue with a different language? We need to isolate the issue and determine whether there is a problem in the Spanish language pack or in Sugar itself. As I told you, there have been some fixes in the later versions of Sugar 5.0.0 (http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showp...60&postcount=9) which could be related to this.

Hello Verónica.

Sugar 5.1.0a has been released (http://www.sugarforge.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=3103). I've upgraded our installation and it is working ok with the current Spanish language pack, (although there are some missing string translations). Nevertheless, I will try to release an updated version for the Spanish language pack in the following days.

Even though I have not found any bug which is directly related to the problems you are experiencing, I think this new patch is worth a try (from the changes I’ve seen in the source code).

Dropdown values are stored in language files;
the default one is in sugar/include/language/en_us.lang.php,
while custom files stay in sugar/custom/include/language/en_us.lang.php (es_es.lang.php for spanish)
