Japanese Lang Pack

Hi,

I'm using Sugar CRM Commercial Open Source Version 4.2.0. I can login with the Language as US English. But when i need to use Japanese language instead of US English. What needs to be done?

I can list the language name (Japanese) in the drop down list box in the login page.

But on selection of Language as Japanese & login the Home page is reported in English only & not in Japanese.

Can anyone let me know what language pack i need to install & where do i need to install. the path where i can get the language pack compatible for the Sugar CRM Commercial Open Source Version 4.2.0. from th web site.

I too would like to know what I have to add to the config.php to get the Japanese lang pack to display.
From the FAQ I found that I was supposed to add this, but I can't figure out the abbreviations for the japanese language pack.

I've tried jp_jp, jn_jn, ja_ja, but nothing seems to work.

Hello Danielg42,

You no longer need to directly edit the config.php file to add a language pack.

Download LANGPACK-Japanese-OS420a.zip from this page:
http://www.sugarforge.org/frs/?group_id=18

Then login to your Sugar instance as an administrator. Click the 'Admin' link on the top-right of the screen, then 'Module Loader.' Upload the file you've just downloaded, then visit the login screen. 'Japanese' should appear as an option in the language dropdown.

If you would like the Home/Login screen to appear in Japanese, you'll need to change your default language. Visit the 'Admin' section again, then click 'System Settings' and select a new 'Default Language' (on the right-hand side).

The problem was I hadn't logged out since the install. Once I did that everything worked.
