Looks like you´ve started working on that little project yourself, according to Sugarforge. Or perhaps that´s someone else?


Anyway, I created a lot of translations in the early days (up to ver 2.01e), but I doubt that you´d find those files useful. Just in case, I´ve attached the zip for your perusal.

How do I install the language-pack, should I run the manifest.php -file (and fron where), Or can I just put the files where they should be?

No no no! Don´t try to copy these files just like that! These language files are very old and doesn´t contain even close to the amount of tabs, options etc that newer versions of Sugar use.

I just attached this old zip so that those who want to create a proper language pack can do so and perhaps get some inspiration or answers from the translations that I did.

Ah, no I downloaded the language pack fron the main site, but I wanted to know how to install it.....

Well, I just looked at the file your referring to, and it isn´t created for 4.x which could potentially create problems with your installation. But if you want to give it a try, use the Upgrade Wizard or the Module Loader (in admin) to upload and install the language pack.


Please be aware that a lot of translations are not correct. For example, a Cold Call is when a sales person just picks up the phone and calls a potential customer, without them ever being in contact before, and does not as the translations implies mean that the call was in vain and the customer not interested.

"Not for profit business" is spelled "Ideell verksamhet"
"Value Proposition" should read "Föreslå värde"
"Id. Decision Makers should translate to "Identifiera beslutsfattare"

etc etc.

Of course this is just an Alpha, but you should go through the original en_us files and translate these, not using the old files. But that´s just my opinion...

He's been working with 3.5.1 translation.

I just updated the swedish translation for 3.51 into 4.2 with the missing definitions and have corrected several of the definitions to a more traditional business swedish if you will.
For instance, in the old version the entity Lead was directly translated into Clue in swedish which in this context is slightly out of place.
Some deifinitiona are still in english so it's not complete yet, but still better than nothing.

Should I just upload as a new SugarForge project or how would I go about adding it into the existing swedish translation project?
