Updating lang pack from 5.2 to 5.5.4 and 6.0

Hi,
we have a language pack for 5.2 and when I test it with 5.5.4 or 6 I notice there must have been some changes in the way i18n is handled. Could anyone point out what the major changes are?

Is there a place where it is possible to find what changes are made in each new SugarCRM release in relation to language packs?

I found the reason of what stuck me as a major change...the reason was simple. the language pack install process did not install a language file into include/language.

It was a permission problem.
