Hi Clint and thanks for this new forum.

I think it would be good if all the people who has translated SugarCRM in the past could post short message here so that we now who we are. I'm the person behind Finnish language pack and I'm stationed in Brussels at the moment. I'm currently finalizing language files for 3.0.1b and looking forward to hear more about other translators and their tips and tricks.

    Best,

    - Markku

I am working on a german localisation, also providing integrated installation files. Unfortunately, we do not have any language files for the installer yet, and this is one thing i'd really appreciate to provide finally a stringent localisation.

    Hello !

Here we are working on French Translation, and this new forum is a great Idea, thank you Clint.

For the euro sign you have to put it in the unicode format ( & #8364; ) to get it right in Flash graphs but that still doesn't work for PDF library.
Another tip is to modify your export.php file to get a csv export that will fit our Excel which uses a semicolon separated value instead of a comma.
I have no perfect tool for new translations that is maybe what is missing the most for me right now, I'm using shell scripts to get all the new parameters then I open modified files and add translations in mine. I've seen some tools here but they are not pretty useful for me.

I'm leading the Japanese Language Pack project, and has released it for 2.5, and am now working on 3.0.1b. Thank you for creating a forum for translation. I will do as much as I can to help I10N/I18N of Sugar.

    Hi Daniel,

I noticed that you have SugarCRM installation problems, we are happy to offer you SugarCRM server setup (located in UK) for your translation efforts if you care to use one. Just send me private message or email.

Other than that I strongly advice you to consult people that have use CRM applications to check the terminologyyou are going to use.

    Hi Markku,

I'm using the old swedish v2.5 translation as a reference for the 3.5x translation.

Thank you for your offer but I will install sugar on another (older) system tomorrow which should work OK.

    Regards,
    Daniel
