Default Ability to trigger workflow from plugins

I would really like to be able to trigger workflow from plugins, esp the Outlook plugin.

We handle a lot of support cases with response time SLA's against them. Most of our support requests come in via email, so creating the case from outlook is fine.

However we have SLAs around response times, and our first response is usually via email.

As it stands I can create a workflow that the Sugar email module triggers, to populate a date/time field, but this workflow is not triggered by the send and archive functions in the Outlook plugin.

It would be very helpful to have workflow that can be triggered by the plugins as well.

As it stands my work around to to have the first response email sent from Sugar, which means the teams have to remember to do this and we have to run several email clients.
