Effective immediately, we are now implementing a more stringent spam policy and requiring all posts by new users to be subject to moderation. This is due to the increased spam activity we have been receiving recently, which is deteriorating the forums experience for all members of our Sugar Community. We are finding that this is almost entirely coming from users with the sole intent of creating spam posts and threads in our forums. We do apologize for the inconvenience it may cause any users that are wanting to participate in the forums in a productive way.
Which posts are subject to moderation?
- Any posts made by a member with less than 10 approved posts
- A reply to a post made by member with less than 10 approved posts, even if the reply is made by a member with more than 10 posts
The moderation process is a manual one, and usually done at least twice a day during the workday Monday thru Friday US Eastern Time. If may take several hours for posts to be approved, so please be patient.
No Tolerance Spam Policy
Any posts contain links to non-SugarCRM related web sites or containing illegal or illicit content are subject to being deleted and having your account banned immediately. If you feel your account was banned in error, please feel free to contact us and we can look into the issue.
Please keep an eye on this thread for any further changes we may make in the short-term to help curve this issue. And feel free to comment below on any ideas or feedback you have on this change or helping to control the spam issue.
