Default ARPU for the telecom industry

    Happy New Year guys.

I am working on the telecoms industry and I wonder whether there is a possibility
to actually import our arpu(average revenue per unit) numbers in SugarCRM.

I would like after inserting all my clients (in the Accounts)to have fields for arpu and inserting all
the clients' numbers with their arpu so we can have reports like sum, average earnings per month per user etc.

If anyone works in telecom industry and had actually imported such functions with a way please
    explain. Thank you

Where does the data for ARPU currently reside?

Integrating 3rd party data into Sugar via the SOAP API is mostly relatively trivial.

Actually this ARPU data is an xls file that has certain columns like:
    -Line number
    -billing date
    -commission percentage
-earnings (in € actually but in the xls is just a number)

it has also some other columns but the idea is:
To enter the line number and this to be linked with a custom field in the Account module.

    What I have done:
    Created 10 custom fields Line 1,Line 2

then I have made a new module and I enter or import the data.I wonder if SugarCRM can actually query this data find in which account they belong to and be filed so that I can see per month how much money I earned from a client and generally how much I earn from every client by having a sum of all the arpu-earnings.

So that I can have some qualitative statistics in general.

Thank you for taking time to see this thread and if you believe it should be moved to a more appropriate subforum please do it!

We've done something similar in the past by importing the spreadsheet into a database and running direct db queries between that database and the Sugar database for our analysis. You'll need a unique identifier to tie your spreadsheet data to your Sugar data though.

Can you please enter some more details on how you did that with importing in a new db and so on?

    Thank you.

You may need to find someone qualified to do this sort of task as it isn't necessarily trivial.
