Assign an Account to another domain

As a projectmanager on SugarCRM I see a lot of customers with a lot of different needs. One that I see more and more offen is the need for assigning an account to another domain.

For example if you have a distributor and a reseller that both uses SugarCRM and the distributor has a lead for the reseller. Then it would very nice if he could just assign the lead or/and an account and then afterwoods could be able to track this.

Possibly a better way of addressing this would be through a portal ... where leads are allocated to distributors through the portal and tracked and updated through the portal ... that way it would work for both sugar and non sugar users.
