Calendar: alerts when location is in use / invitee is busy

Good day!

We've had cases when we booked the same location for 2 meetings at the same time.

We're planning to update the location field as a pull-down, but we have no idea how to lock it. User should not be able to book the meeting room if it's been booked already.

In addition, we should be warned if we are inviting a person to a meeting who is busy during the set time.

Hi Pepin

It may get pretty complicated, but it is possible to accomplish.
I believe you should create two new modules:
Rooms and Room Meetings, where the relationship between Rooms and Room Meetings is 1:M, that means, one Room may have several Room Meetings.
Room Meetings should have the fields: Room (of course), date, time. These two last fields may come from the Meetings itself.
This way the Location field on Meetings should become a relate field with Room module.
You should need to implement an ajax based javascript to populate the location dropdown with all available room for the date and time selected for the Meeting.
