Creating opportunities against contacts

Hi,

Is there any way of creating opportunities against individual contacts instead of accounts. My users really need this functionality urgently because of the way they conduct their business. Not all our customers have accounts with us against a company and are just one person so this would be very useful if we can do this. Please can someone let me know ASAP whether this functionality is available now or will be in future releases.

You can go thru studio and add this relationship.

Hi, I have followed the document link you sent me and it shows how to create realtionships which is fine but this still does not tell me how to be able to create an opportunity from a contact and not an account. With this I have found I can add a contact to the opportunity after it's been added to an account but this is not what we wanted. Should I be creating the relationship a different way or is there something else I can do or is this just not possible.
I would assume that I could do this is by adding a field on opportunities for a contact name as well as the account field but just not use the account field.
Please help as I am being chased on this.

You want to add a relationship between the contacts and opportunities module ( one-to-many ), and then the field for the contact on the opportunities edit/detail view will be available.
