Default Elegant way to manage rescheduled calls

It always used to bug our sales guys ... they make a scheduled call. They can't complete 'cos of out of office, in a meeting etc.

So, put a note in description box with date and time and then reschedule the call. Or close the call with a note and then create a new call ... either way ... an irritating process for time pressured salesfolk.

So, we did this which might be good to see in a future release .....

Love it, except it breaks my CRM, you can no longer save edited calls! Eek!

Trying to troubleshoot it, but as far as I see, when I reschedule or edit, you can't actually save data anymore.

Awesome module though, can't wait to get it to run.

Found out it's due to editviewdefs.php, however I must be off to home, I'll report tomorrow my findings.

    Edit:
It was the edited layout it came with, incompatible or something, I just deleted it, made a new one using the studio, works great, yay.

Where and how did you get the module.

It seems like a god send.

    Thanks!

Make sure you follow the install directions, don't just drop it in and expect it to work like most modules (I made this mistake, :P).

Other than that, I agree, it helps keep track of numerous callbacks easily!

I'm having an issue where the "reschedule" pull down list sometimes disappears, rebuild and repair of the database makes it come back.

I have been unable to pin down what action is causing it to disappear. I don't even touch the call module in Studio.

My history doesn't have line breaks like shown in salesagility's screen captures. I see the line break in data
retrieved from the field directly through MySQL, so it looks like a layout issue. Any tips?

I've also had the Reschedule button go away by editing the Detail View Layout. Repair didn't bring it back,
but restoring a previous Detail View layout in Studio brought it back.

Finally, the initial layout did not show the Reschedule field - I had to add it to Edit View Layout in Studio to
make it show up. History field showed up but was not shown in Studio for Edit Layout, so I added it to the
Edit Layout as well and all looked and worked fine.

Did you use a textbox instead of a textfield?

I'm pretty sure textfields read line feeds as new lines, so I can't guess what the problem is beyond that. I think sugar automatically adds <br> instead of linefeeds when in detail mode too... which mode are you having this issue in?

I have some faint memory of having to tweak the javascript but I can't remember what, let me see if I can remember what I did.

I haven't done anything to set or change the field types or layouts. I simply followed the installation instructions. Is there some extra step to edit the input type?

Also, my Reschedule dropdown box keeps disappearing and I haven't figured out how to get it back. I haven't had time to research. Does changing the Call Edit Layout in Studio affect the Reschedule layout? That seems to be where the trouble started.

I'm having the exact same issue, it's becoming an annoyance, I'll keep you updated if I find out why.

I haven't touched call stuff in studio in forever too...
