How to sum a numeric column in listview?

Taking my first steps with SugarCRM, there is one critical feature that I need: the ability to view a SUM of a (filtered) ListView. That ought to be simple?

For the sake of discussion, I have added a custom field of type INT to one of the modules, and have enabled this field in the module's standard listview. How can I programmatically or otherwise, create bottom-line that includes the SUM of the numeric values that are visible in the filter?

I searched for a solution to this simple request in vain.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Have you looked at Sugar Professional? In the Professional edition you have the Reports module which allows you to create a Summation with Details report. This gives you the list view with sum of columns at the bottom.

Thanks for the quick response.

My requirements are minimal; I am trying out the Community Edition, and use a totality of three modules, to track what will ultimately be a few hundred records shared by about twenty users. The ugly alternative is "export to Excel", which really defeats the purpose of using a CRM... I ought to be able to do better.
